David Thompson is a Co-founder and member of the Scientific Advisory Board at 64x Bio. He is also the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Medici Therapeutics.

David earned his PhD in David Liu’s lab at Harvard University, where he developed new tools for drug delivery and gene editing. He completed his postdoctoral work in George Church’s lab at Harvard Medical School. During his postdoc, he served as a Technology Development Fellow at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering, where he advanced emerging genetic technologies into commercial applications.

David is co-author of dozens of patents and publications, and his research has contributed to the development of commercial platforms for gene editing, gene delivery, and target discovery.
