Jeffrey Way, PhD
Co-founder, Advisor
Jeffrey Way is a Co-founder and an Advisor at 64x Bio. He is President and Co-founder of General Biologics, a protein engineering company developing fusion proteins for hypoxic disorders. He is also a part-time Lecturer in the Department of Systems Biology at Harvard Medical School.
Previously, Jeffrey served as Director of Structural Biology and Director of Intellectual Property at EMD Serono, a major protein-focused pharmaceutical company, where he first began to design engineered protein drugs. He later joined the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering as a Senior Staff Scientist. He has over 25 years of experience in therapeutics, synthetic biology, and intellectual property.
Jeffrey earned his PhD from Harvard University in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and completed his postdoctoral work at Columbia University. He has authored numerous publications and holds several patents.
